The Ajax smart ecosystem sets new standards in fire safety. FireProtect 2 can protect homes without an Ajax hub but works better with it. Ajax apps allow remote setup and real-time detector information. Instant notifications ensure no fire alert is missed, with automation for enhanced protection. Discover future-proof hardware
FireProtect 2 has two thermistors to detect smokeless fires quickly, even when they start slowly. The thermistors are outside the enclosure to prevent delays in detection. It can trigger a heat alarm at 135 °F (+58 °C) and is designed to last for years with a 5-year battery life using two replaceable CR123A batteries. The detector warns about low batteries 30 days in advance and notifies users through Ajax apps. It has a loud 85 dB siren with distinct tones for alarms and events. All FireProtect 2 units can sync to notify of a fire within 20 seconds, providing detailed alerts in the Ajax apps.

Overview:
FireProtect 2 (Heat) Jeweller is a wireless fire detector with a built-in siren. Designed for indoor installation. Detects temperature rise. The detector also can work without a hub.
It is available in two modifications: with sealed batteries (has SB in the name) that run 10 years, and with replaceable ones (has RB in the name) that run up to 7 years.
The detector operates as part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller secure radio protocol. The hub communication range is up to 1,700 meters without obstacles.

Power supply
The detector is powered by two replaceable CR123A batteries, ensuring up to 5 years of operation. After discharge, the installer simply replaces the batteries, and the detector continues to operate as usual.
Low battery warning
he detector reports low batteries at least 30 days before their full discharge. Installers and users receive notifications through their Ajax apps. FireProtect 2 also has an LED indicator and audible beeps for a low battery alert.
Wireless interconnection
RB detectors can synchronously notify of a fire alarm through interconnection. In case of alarm, the hub activates the interconnection in 20 s. All information is instantly available in Ajax apps: initiating detector's location, fire alarm type, and exact time.

Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarms
All fire detectors in the system turn on built-in sirens if at least one detector registers an alarm. An interconnected fire alarm is activated within one “hub — detector” polling interval but no more than 20 seconds later.
