Ajax has developed FireProtect 2, a new fire safety technology featuring a patented smoke chamber that is dustproof and insect-proof. It includes a dual-spectrum optical sensor and HazeFlow 2 software for accurate fire detection, minimizing false alarms.

The smoke chamber prevents contamination affecting detection, while HazeFlow 2 accurately identifies real fire threats by analyzing data from the sensor. Additionally, FireProtect 2 has two thermistors to detect smokeless fires and detect rapid temperature changes quickly.

FireProtect 2 prioritizes alerting people about fire danger with an 85 dB siren and distinct tones for alarms. It features wireless interconnection, allowing all detectors to synchronize and notify of a fire within 20 seconds. Ajax apps provide real-time updates, device locations, and alarm types.

The system includes comprehensive monitoring with informative notifications and a detailed event log, accessible on PRO Desktop for building administration. Ajax fire detectors work with automation devices for enhanced safety. The unique Jeweller protocol ensures secure communication, while ReX range extenders expand coverage for larger facilities. FireProtect 2 is easy to install and maintain, featuring a self-test system for reliability.

Overview:

FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller is a wireless fire detector with a built-in siren. Intended for indoor installation. Detects smoke and temperature rise. The detector also can work without a hub.

There are two available modifications: one with sealed batteries (has SB in the name) that run for 10 years, and another with replaceable batteries (has RB in the name) that run for up to 7 years.

Note: FireProtect 2 (Heat/Smoke) detectors are compatible only with hubs on OS Malevich 2.14.1 or later. Hub (4G) Jeweller must have OS Malevich 2.28 or later to support FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller.

The detector operates as part of the Ajax system, communicating with the hub via the Jeweller secure radio protocol. The hub communication range is up to 1700 meters without obstacles.

Power supply

The detector is powered by two replaceable CR123A batteries, ensuring up to 5 years of operation. After discharge, the installer simply replaces the batteries, and the detector continues to operate as usual.

Low battery warning

The detector reports low batteries at least 30 days before their full discharge. Installers and users receive notifications through their Ajax apps. FireProtect 2 also has an LED indicator and audible beeps for a low battery alert.

Enhanced wireless interconnection

RB detectors can synchronously notify of a fire alarm through interconnection. In case of alarm, the hub activates the interconnection in 20 s. All information is instantly available in Ajax apps: initiating detector's location, fire alarm type, and exact time.

Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarm
