Principle of operation

Transmitter allows you to connect a third-party wired detector or device to the Ajax security system. The module receives information about alarms and events via a wired connection. Having received an event, it transmits it to the hub via the Jeweller radio protocol, and the hub notifies the security company and system users.


Features

Transmitter works with any detector, keypad, or device with NC/NO contact type. The module supports numerous event types: intrusion, fire, auxiliary alarm, panic button, gas alarm, malfunction, leakage, etc. The type of event determines the alarm code sent to the security company monitoring station and the text of notification received by the user. This ensures an accurate response to the threat.


Transmitter Jeweller

Module for integrating a third-party wired device into the Ajax system. Transmitter allows you to connect the IR barrier, liquid level detector, gas leak detector, keypad, panic button, or any other device with the NC/NO contact type to Ajax.

Overview:

Transmitter is a module for connecting third-party detectors to Ajax security system. It transmits alarms and notifies when the tamper of the third-party detector triggers. The module is equipped with its own accelerometer, which protects it from dismounting. It runs on batteries and can supply power to the connected detector.

Transmitter operates within the Ajax security system, by connecting via the protected Jeweller protocol to the hub. It is not intended to use the device in third-party systems.

Nota: Not compatible with the uartBridge or ocBridge Plus

The communication range can be up to 1,600 meters provided that there are no obstacles and the case is removed.

Transmitter is set up via a mobile application for iOS and Android based smartphones.

Jeweller

Encrypted Two-Way communication

The security company and users know exactly which device was triggered, the type of the device alarm, and when and where it happened. Informative notifications and encrypted two-way communication are provided via the Jewel er radio protocol.

The maximum Transmitter radio communication range with a hub or range extender is 1,600 meters in an open space. The protoco uses device authentication for each communication session to protect the module against spoofing.


Quick Pairing and installation

To add Transmitter to the system, just scan the QR code. Installers can change the connected device settings in the PRO apps, on site and remotely. The type of a connected wired device is configured in the Ajax mobile and desktop apps.

The compact module can be insta led inside the detector enclosure or in the mounting box. The maximum cable length for connecting a third-party detector or device is 130 meters (24AWG twisted pair). The bui t-in acce erometer and tamper alarm notifies of an attempt to sabotage the wired device.

Transmitter Jeweller has two pairs of terminal inputs for tamper and alarm sensor connection. Alarm and tamper inputs can be used to connect a wired device using the AATT (Alarm Alarm Tamper Tamper) scheme.

Recommendations

Transmitter Jeweller should be installed inside the wired detector enclosure. The module requires a minimum space with dimensions of 4.33″ × 1.61″ × 0.94″. If it is not possible to install Transmitter Jeweller within the detector’s enclosure, any available radiotransparent casing can be used.
